License Privileges Checker

Type a frequency to see who may transmit there, or pick a license class to see everything it may use. Straight from the FCC rules.

Good to Know

These are the legal limits for stations in the 50 states, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands (ITU Region 2). US territories in the Pacific use slightly different band edges.

“Data” means digital modes such as FT8, PSK31, RTTY and packet. “Phone” means voice (SSB, AM, FM, digital voice) and also covers image modes such as SSTV. Where a class may only use CW or SSB voice, the table says so.

Taken from the FCC rules (47 CFR Part 97, sections 97.301, 97.303, 97.305, 97.307 and 97.313), checked September 23, 2026. See Part 97 in plain English and our band plans for where each mode is usually found.
